it’s nice to think that all those who play obscure orchestral instruments in Hollywood still have a job. I was somewhat enjoying this, Emily Blunt’s character in particular, but then the bombastic score telling me how to feel got my attention and left me completely distracted. In the end I realised I had no idea why Mr Darcy was evil (other than the score telling me so) or what the rocks they were holding were all about. I don’t think this movie was intended for me.
